Situation "Left over" vegetables, fruit and bread are collected from supermarkets and restaurants (donated) and are then taken to the kitchen where a wholesome soup is made. The food is then delivered to creches, schools and old age homes. In many cases this is the only cooked meal the recipients have. The feeding scheme currently feeds over 2500 people daily. Expenses consist of salaries for the cook and vehicle maintenance and fuel. Management of the scheme is done on a voluntary basis without remuneration.
